The incident occurred on Saturday when Aryan Vohra,21, reportedly fell asleep moments after an altercation with the flight crew. Officials said he was drunk during the flight and urinated in his sleep, leading to the body fluid ending up on the passenger sitting next to him. Although the other passenger did not file charges against Vohra, American Airlines said in a statement they are planning to place him on the no-fly list.
“He was repeatedly arguing with the operating crew, was not willing to be seated, and continuously endangering the safety of crew and aircraft. After disturbing the safety of fellow passengers, [he] finally urinated on a passenger,” the airline explained to ANI News.

The student reportedly apologized to American Airlines and the police for his actions since he was worried about his reputation and career. “The airline has given a written complaint. The victim is not coming forward. On the basis of the complaint, we are contemplating action under IPC and Civil Aviation Act. The strongest possible action will be taken against him to deter other flyers to not to behave in this manner or do any such activity in the future,” said Delhi Police spokesperson Devesh Kumar.
Vohra was released on bail on Sunday, but the situation is still under investigation. Several reports said the incident occurred in business class, but it is unclear if the student had a seat there. Additionally, it didn’t state if he was visiting the United States or studying there for school.
There was a similar incident in November of last year when a passenger named Shankar Mishra urinated on another passenger while he was in an “inebriated” condition in the business class section of an Air India flight from New York to New Delhi. However, the incident wasn’t reported to the Directorate General of Civil Aviation. He was later arrested for the incident.
