Try These Fun Fall Superfood Smoothies

Smoothies are some of the best ways to be able to quickly get your dose of daily nutrients from a delicious and healthy drink that you can enjoy, but as the Fall time of year approaches, you might be feeling a little more in the mood for something sort of festive. With so many great fruits and vegetables available for their Fall harvests and their availability in stores, you probably imagine that there are some great smoothies out there waiting to make with these amazing foods. Here are a few fall superfood recipes to try out.

Spiced Blueberry Walnut Smoothie

This smoothie is full of powerful antioxidants that can help you to get over some sicknesses a little faster. It’s delicious and refreshing. You can try adding the cinnamon last so that you can season it to your liking. 

  • 2 cups almond milk
  • 2 cups frozen organic wild blueberries 
  • 2 tbsp ground flax seeds (fresh)
  • 2 tbsp organic molasses 
  • 2 tsps cinnamon
  • 4 – 6  ice cubes 

*note: If you only want to make one smoothie, you can simply cut the amounts in half

Cranberry Orange Smoothie

This is packed with vitamin C and is a great immune system booster. It’s also a great way to get a quick afternoon pick me up. 

  • 6 oranges, about 2 pounds without peel, and sectioned
  • 2 cups frozen cranberries, 
  • 1 16-ounce bottle cranberry kombucha
  • 1 ½ Tsp vanilla extract
  • 6 ice cubes

*note: If you only want to make one smoothie, you can simply cut the amounts in half

Pumpkin Apple Smoothie

This smoothie is great for heart health and can settle the stomach.

  • ½ cup plus 2 tbsp oats
  • ½ cup canned pumpkin
  • 1 ½ cup organic Greek yogurt
  • 2 medium organic Fuji apples
  • 1 banana, frozen and broken into pieces
  • 1 cup almond milk 
  • ¼ tsp. pumpkin pie spice
  • 10 ice cubes

*note: If you only want to make one smoothie, you can simply cut the amounts in half

Banana Carrot Smoothie

This awesome smoothie is a little bit like a carrot cake.

  • 1 frozen banana broken into chunks
  • 1 scoop whey protein
  • ¼ cup shredded carrots
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 1 ½ tsp cinnamon
  • 1 cup vanilla yogurt
  • ½ cup almond milk
  • ¼ tsp ginger
  • 4 ice cubes
